Quality Control Program & Environment Statement
In the construction industry, the term quality reflects the controlling the quality of a company’s product to service and making sure that as the product passes through each individual process, that all Canadian standards are met.
As for the products that we use, they are all CSA approved and met all building standards. The manufacturers that we use go to great lengths to have their products approved and certified; they too would have a quality control program.
In service quality control, it is a company’s quality of service that is constantly being inspected, this includes all employees. This type of quality control is used by all types of service businesses such as transportation, banking, retail and so on. It is imperative that the employees of these business sectors live up to the proper standards of the companies standards.
Quality control is part of the overall quality management system that a company uses to improve service quality. A good quality control system should help lead you to a more business and repeat business, which in turn leads to profit.
We as a company partner with our employees and become a family. We work together as a team. We provide our employees with paid uniforms, so that their appearance reflects positively on Extreme Glass as a company. We offer ongoing training, certification, first aid and safety programs. We sponsor and fund all training programs.
Most of our manufactures provide afternoon seminars on new products, new installation procedures and so on. We would schedule our employees to attend these information sessions on company time, and are paid for their time.
Our employees, when visiting residential sites with their paper booties on, will give our clients their invoice as well as a questionnaire asking and rating their performance. Each month an employee is rewarded with a gift card for the most positive feedback.
We believe we have hand selected all of our staff for their different talents, personalities and their dynamics. We feel confident that all of our employees represent Extreme Glass in most business like manor. All have a proven track record.
We believe that our operating plan is most efficient for our customers. We operator our shop in Pitt Meadows, BC. Our staff makes one stop at the shop in the morning, and they pick up all their materials required for that day’s work on their way into town. 75 % of our work is in Vancouver and scattering suburbs. This is less waste (cutting of materials), less traveling time (back and forth) and cost effective overhead (lease rates), which reflects positively on our pricing to our customers. We also have our own recycling bins at your shop, so they are required to empty their vans in the morning.
Environmental concerns with relation to our industry. Our company and the service we provide try to do our best at lower emissions. We unfortunately need to drive vehicles to provide our services. But with respect to old glass, broken glass, aluminum windows and storefronts, plastic caulking tubes, the materials that we can recycle, we do. Unfortunately, there are still some materials out there that cannot be recycled. For the materials that we install (purchased from a vendor), and we do not manufacture, we cannot make statements about this, as we do not have the accurate answers to their environmental control programs. We do our part as a corporation.
